Submissions for 2024 are accepted now through January 31st, 2025.

Hi-Desert Ovations Submission Guidelines and Instructions

The following theaters are eligible to make submissions:

Thought Theatre
Joshua Tree Summer Theatre Under the Stars
Joshua Tree Shakespeare Festival
Hi-Desert Cultural Center
Theatre 29
Wonder Valley Theatre Company
Inspiration’s Edge

Production categories include Dramas, Comedies, Musicals, One Acts, Cabarets/Musical Revues, and Staged Readings.

Anyone can nominate an individual or an entire production. We will do our best to verify the categories prior to voting.

If you wish to nominate a volunteer individually, please use the Individual Nomination Form below.

In order to submit an entire production, there are two options:

1. Please provide a copy of the program and add the following notations to your program next to each cast member/volunteer to determine the correct nomination category:

L – Lead Actor/Actress
S – Supporting Actor/Actress
FM - Featured Ensemble Member Male
FF - Featured Ensemble Member Female
E - Ensemble
U/R – Understudy/Replacement

All other category nominations will be derived directly from the program (e.g., Lights, Sound, Set Design, Makeup, Special Effects, etc.).

In order for an individual to be nominated in any category, the nominee must be a volunteer without professional compensation. If submitting a production that includes paid professionals, please use the following notation:

P – Paid/Professional

Please then email a copy of your production’s program with the aforementioned notations to Submissions@Hi-DesertOvations.com.

Please be sure to include all pages which include cast and crew. Technical nominations will be derived from the program, however it is your responsibility to notate any paid or professional cast or crew members.
